Your Health…

How many times have you heard people talk about taking their health for granted? Quite a few times… well guess that it is true.. we all think we will be healthy forever and then one day it hits us and we just don’t know what to do .. we are sick, we are exhausted, we can’t do anything.. we are hating it… why didn’t we pay attention to our health before when we had a chance? Why didn’t we make a change when we could? My book “Perfect 40!” Talks more about this, if you are interested to read (https://a.co/d/isAHVMK), but to all honesty why do we take our health for granted.. I am not talking about the cases that had some sort of condition from birth, but I am talking about that after 40 you start feeling those palpitations, stomach issues, gluten or dairy intolerance… I mean we could have figure it out then.. but now we are suffering… we are regretting that we didn’t do what we could do to save our health.. And even now after a trip to Urgent care e may make adjustments for a limited time, and then get back to our “routine”. By Routine I mean poor eating habits, poor exercise habits, drinking, not watching what our body is asking. We don’t listen to our oldies, because from day 1 we are taught to take a pill, and then take another pill, and then another.. Instead of addressing the root cause of the issue.. we keep piling up those pills. I am surprised on the amount of people that don’t realize of all the side affects all those pills have… They make you agree and give you “a warning” with a tiniest fine print with all the side effect including death.. yet we still take that pill.. because we trust our doctors wanting “the best” for us (so we think).. But that Big Pharma wins every time you pick up that prescription.

I am no medical professional by no means and you should do your due diligence by checking on it yourself before you do anything I say here (or any of my articles! ).. but most of our health problems could be resolved with a proper diet! How simple is this? But how difficult is it to actually do… for the most people it’s easier to pop a pill than eat healthy or exercise routinely, because burgers and fries and overpacked lunches are so much more delicious than veggies with no meat and no dressing. We are tempted with ads every single day. It seems like they add additives to all the foods we eat – it almost feels like so we could crave for it like a drug.. sounds familiar right? For the longest time I was addicted to caramel mocha from a famous coffee shop.. then I realized that it was some weird craving I had..  for no reason! I was addicted to that coffee. I had to have it every day! I put a stop to it the moment I realized I was addicted to it! I mean we know how much “stuff” they add there, right? (if you don’t please do your research!) I mean this can’t be healthy. Almost everything is made of some sort of chemical compound, how can we not get sick from it? How do we expect that packing our bodies with all sorts of preservatives that they put in our food would make us healthy? That’s a silly thought. But so many of us are not aware or not wanting to be aware of such thing.

Do you know that there’s a list of food items that is not allowed in other countries, and one of them I just found out is Cheerios. Apparently, Honey Nut Cheerios flavor is made from the chemicals.. not actual honey..  Then we wonder why our kids get sick? How can FDA allow it? They allow it as they make money from these companies paying them money. Same way Big Pharma pays all these doctors when they prescribe medication to you…  (I sure hope you know that!)

How often at the doctor’s office they check for you vitamin levels? Practically never. They may check one or two.. but even that is the least of their concerns. For an example, your hair is falling out. That could be due to lack of vitamins, as older we get, our vitamins don’t absorb as good as they used to, or maybe something is causing you to loose those vitamins, a particular imbalance or another medication you are taking. But doctors’ office won’t check you for that.. they will check for hormonal imbalance and will prescribe a pill to match the blood test. I can go on and on about it.. but I hope you get my point here… take care of your health any time you get it. As much as we want to trust our doctors, watch and check what else you can do to save your health, because the moment you start those pills, you have a rollercoaster side effect that will be needing more pills. And I know that not all doctors are the same, there are doctors that actually want to treat the patient the right way and they do, but some regulations at whatever clinic or hospital they are at doesn’t allow them to practice how they really should. We should be treated before we get worse, where in America we get treated after we get worse. There is no preventative care, hence so many visits to ER.  I went to ER today with someone close to me, and by 12pm they had 249 patients.. how is the even manageable by a major hospital.. This is nuts!

(Just to reiterate again, I know some doctors that really genuinely care for their patients, and not every doctor is like that! So this is not a general statement about all health care providers.)

So in a case if I had to go to the doctor’s office, urgent care or ER… What I would do after that visit is I would take home the information doctor tells me, and do my research on what I can do without those pills (again this is something you have to do yourself – don’t trust just what I say, do your research). There are millions of cases where people changed their diet and recovered from whatever disease or health issue they had. If you are a lucky one and you don’t have any health issues then take care of your body, watch what you put inside your body, sugars, gluten, processed foods and so forth. Yes, I know it’s so hard to do, but the least we can do it try… Once you do it long enough, it becomes a habit!

The other day someone that know me asked me if I am going to my “loosing weight session”.. and I said no! I am going to keep up with my good health! This is when it hit me, that we are so into losing weight, so much into that particular image, but not so much into taking care of our bodies and our health!  I wish I could challenge all the doctors out there and challenge them to provide a better and different patient care! Yes, I know that there are some health issues that cannot be cured without medicine (considering all the chemicals we put in our body on the first place!), but there is still so much that can be cured with proper education, proper nutrition and proper exercise regimen! We cannot be lazy if we want to live a long and healthy life.
